Description: This is the lowest denomination issued by The Bahamas Government. Low grade notes can be purchased for around $100. Nice circulated notes should sell for closer to $300. High grade notes can be worth more than $1,000.
Varieties: There is a very rare variety to the 1919 four shillings bank note. If the back of your bill has a picture of a government building then you have a very rare find; and we would certainly love to see pictures of it. The more common type comes in two varieties. Some of these are signed by H.E.W. Grant and others are signed by A.C. Burns. Grant notes have a serial number without a prefix. Burns notes have a serial number that starts with the letter A. There is a roughly 25% premium for Grant notes.
