Description: Most bank notes that you find from The Bank of Nassau will be in the form of a remainder or specimen. Fully dated and signed bank notes are very rare. These can have a date anywhere from the 1870s up to 1916. Some observed dates are 28th January 1897, 3rd April 1902, 11th May 1906, 22nd October 1910, 19th March 1913, 16th April 1913, and 21st January 1916. Four shillings, five shillings, ten shillings, and one pound bank notes were issued. Some of these kind of feel like checks, but they are in fact bank notes. We have pictures of a couple of notes pictured below. Other designs and varieties also exist.
