The Bank of Nassau Currency (1870s – 1916)
These are the first bank notes from The Bahamas that one can consider collectible. You can click the image below if you would like more information. Most of what you are going to find today are specimens or unissued remainders. Currency denominated as four shillings, five shillings, ten shillings, and one pound was all issued by The Bank of Nassau. Issue dates include 28th January 1897, 3rd April 1902, 11th May 1906, 22nd October 1910, 19th March 1913, and 21st January 1916. Values vary based on the condition and denomination.
