1st October 1920 Government of St. Lucia Bank Notes
It is very rare for a country to issue bank notes for just one year. However, that is what we are looking at here. St. Lucia issued five shillings and ten shillings bank notes; both are dated as 1st October 1920. We don’t have an image for the five shillings note. We were only able to find a specimen of the ten shillings notes. Translation, issued bank notes are extremely scarce. Survivors are few and far between and likely number around five total. The text on the notes references the capital of St. Lucia which is Castries. Each note has a portrait of King George V. This was a common trait of most British colonial paper money printed during that time period. Click on an image below to learn more about the value of each note.
