Value of 1904 & 1918 Five Shillings Bank Note from Jamaica

1904/1918 George V Five Shillings Jamaica Bank Note

Description:   We don’t have a picture of the five shillings bank note. However, we can tell you that the front is red and green with a brown underprint. The back is brown and shows a sailing ship. It has the standard portrait of George V. Most of these sell for at least a few hundred dollars. High grade notes are worth considerably more money.

Varieties:   These bank notes were issued with either one serial number or two serial numbers. Each variety is worth the same amount of money.

Portrait:  George V

Text:   Jamaica – Five Shillings Currency Notes are Legal Tender for the payment of any amount – Five Shillings – Issued Under The Authority of Law 27 1904 & Law 17 of 1918 – Island Treasurer – Thos De La Rue London
