Description: This is the first five pound bank note issued by Jamaica. They really aren’t that old in the scheme of things. Many examples are available for around $100. High grade notes can be worth a multiple of that value though. Contact us for details.
Varieties: This basic design was used for notes from 1st August 1942, 1st August 1952, 7th April 1955, and 15th August 1957. The notes from 1942 are the rarest for the series.
