Comments: An issued one hundred rupees bank note from Zanzibar sold at auction in 1996 for $7,400. Today the same note should be worth several times that. These could also have a 1st September, 1916 date. Every bank note from Zanzibar has two vignettes on it. The right side shows eight fruit pickers. The left side of the note shows a sailing ship or boat called a dhow.
