Description: Treasury notes were only issued by The United States in 1890 and 1891. Two dollar bills from both years look very similar, but the 1890 examples are much more desirable. They can easily be spotted by their ornate green back design.
Seal Type: Two dollar treasury notes from 1890 have either a small red seal or a large brown seal.
Varieties: There are three different types of 1890 $2 treasury notes. All the notes are valued the same in circulated condition, but notes in perfect condition signed by Rosecrans and Nebeker are tough to find.
