How Much Is A 1916 $10 Bill Worth?

1916 $10 bills can be extremely rare. Their collector value is based purely on which national bank issued them. We have a complete list of all the national banks that issued ten dollar bills in 1916. Some banks have a high value; others have a low value. Other factors such as the serial number and condition of the bill can add value to an otherwise common 1916 ten dollar note. William McKinley is featured on the left hand side of each bill. The mark “Series of 1902” is written below the upper right serial number. The year 1916 is also written in cursive on the front of the bill. Neither year necessarily represents when the bill was actually printed. All $10 bills from 1916 will have a blue seal and be larger than money is today. They are very collectible and we consider them to be a specialty of ours. The reason these bills are so rare is because ten dollars was a lot of money in 1916. That is the same as $281.32 today, after you adjust for inflation! You can see why so few 1916 $10 bills still exist. They were incredibly expensive to save.
