Values of $100 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Notes

Price Guide for Rare Federal Reserve Bank Notes

Year:  1929

Denomination:  One Hundred Dollar Bank Note

Type:  Federal Reserve Bank Note

Portrait:  Benjamin Franklin

$100 Bill Front Picture:

Value and History:   These are commonly called brown seal notes or 1929 FRBNs. The vast majority of these sell for around $115 each. They are extremely common. Even notes in choice uncirculated condition will have a difficult time selling for more than a few hundred dollars. There are some rare districts though; so the serial number definitely matters. If it is under 100, or if the number ends with a star symbol then you can expect an extra premium. Please contact us for details.

We buy all of these $100 bank notes issued by The United States. The market for rare paper money is very active right now. If you were ever considering selling then now might be a good time to take a price quote. You can text pictures to 864-430-4020. You can also attach pictures to an email message. You’ll never know what we would have offered unless you ask. Our information is always free.
