Value and History: National banks in Dayton, OH and New Orleans, LA were the only two banks in the country to issue 1882 $100 value backs. The backs of these have to say “One Hundred Dollars” in large print at the center to be considered a value back. The face design looks exactly the same as the much more common 1882 date backs. These rarely show up on the market today simply because they are just plain scarce. These are very valuable. Contact us for details.
