Values of $100 1864 Interest Bearing Notes

Price Guide for Rare Interest Bearing Notes

Year:  1864

Denomination:  One Hundred Dollar Bank Note

Type:  Interest Bearing Note

Portrait:  General Winfield Scott

$100 Bill Front Picture:

Value and History:   Even with little knowledge of collectible currency, you can look at this bank note and know it is rare. It is currently thought that only three of these are known to exist. That number could go up by one or two in the next century, but these will always be very rare. Not many were issued and the ones that were printed were mostly redeemed. There was no incentive to tie up $100 for no good reason back in the 1860s.

We buy all of these $100 bank notes issued by The United States. The market for rare paper money is very active right now. If you were ever considering selling then now might be a good time to take a price quote. You can text pictures to 864-430-4020. You can also attach pictures to an email message. You’ll never know what we would have offered unless you ask. Our information is always free.
