Value: The value of an 1869 $1 legal tender note is based purely on its condition. Impaired or ugly notes sell for less than $200. Problem free notes in nice condition sell for between $200 and $750. These notes are very old so few have survived in perfect condition. With that said, you can probably guess that uncirculated examples are very rare. High grade examples sell for $2,000 or more.
