Value and History: Five hundred dollar bills from the series of 1934A are usually fairly generic. They were issued by all districts with exception of Boston. The serial number and seal color doesn’t matter on these. The value is based purely on the condition. Most examples in circulated condition sell for around $700. Any major flaws like rust, holes, missing pieces, stains, ink writing, etc will significantly lower the value. High grade examples in choice uncirculated condition or better are worth $1,500 or more. If your serial number ends with a star symbol then it should also be worth more than $1,500. You really need to work with an expert to better understand just how much your currency is worth.
