Regular issue series 692 five dollar military payment certificates are actually fairly common. Regular issue notes have a serial number that begins and ends with the letter E. If you have a serial number that does not end with the letter E, then you have what is known as a replacement. As the name suggests, replacements were used to replace misprinted notes. Series 692 $5 MPC replacements are very rare. Please contact us if you have one for sale. We will need to see pictures in order to make an offer. Replacements have the exact same design as non-replacements. The front has a portrait of a young woman and the back has a vignette with a family of elk. Both sides say “for use only in united states military establishments by united states authorized personnel in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.”
Want to Sell Your MPC Currency? We can’t help you value your military payment certificates over the phone. However, if you send us pictures of what you have then we will respond back quickly with some accurate values. We are also buyers in most cases. Sales@AntiqueMoney.com
