A general rule for military payment certificates is that the smaller the denomination, the more common they are. That happens to be true when it comes to series 692 five cent MPCs. They are extremely common. They were only used in Vietnam, but over 14 million were issued. Even if just 1% survived, that still leaves tens of thousands available to collectors. The design also does nothing to help the value. It is very plain and was reused for all of the other 692 fractional denominations as well. Sadly, 99% of these notes are just worth a couple of dollars.
