Series 591 ten dollar military payment certificates are definitely not traditional rarities, but they are certainly on some want lists. The design and size of 591 $10 MPCs allows them to fit nicely into most United States currency collections. The red seal overprint is reminiscent of legal tender notes from the 1870s. The green background and image of a pretty female are very “MPC” though. The front and back of each note has text that reads “for use only in united states military establishments by united states authorized personnel in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.” You also need to at least be aware that fakes do exist for this series.
