If you are going to collect series 481 military payment certificates, then you better have a keen eye. All of the fractional denominations have the exact same design. The text “for use only in united states military establishments by united states authorized personnel in accordance with applicable rules and regulations” is written on the front of each note. You will also see a number between 1 and 84 written on the face of each five cent note. That is the position number. Every MPC note has a position number. Sadly, that never adds to the value.
